Our Chapter’s Microphone Awards Program recognizes the achievements of members who have reached key milestones in their careers.

All requirements cover a 12-month period. All NSA Nat’l members of good standing will be grandfathered into the appropriate speaker category due to requirements previously fulfilled.

NSA/CF Microphone Awards

NSA/CF Microphone Awards

Submissions should be made by current NSA/CF Professional Members and Associates. All NSA
Nat’l members of good standing will be grandfathered into the appropriate speaker category due to
requirements previously fulfilled.

Our Chapter’s Microphone Awards Program recognizes the achievements of Professional Members
and Associates who have reached key milestones in their careers. The required achievements for all
the speaker awards are listed below:

Gold Master Speaker:

1. Be a full-time speaking professional for a minimum of five years.
2. Give 20 paid speeches per year or earn $25,000 in speaking income, from a minimum of five
different business sources.
3. Have 10 testimonials letters from fee-paid presentations.
4. Be an active committee member of NSA/CF and work on one key project.
5. Have a speaker video demo that is posted on your website or You Tube.
6. Have written and published a book – submit your book title.
7. Have made a promotional appearance on radio, internet radio or TV for an interview on your book
or for general expertise.
8. Made a presentation to another NSA Chapter outside of NSA/CF, or present at an NSA Regional
or National Workshop. Submit the topic and title.
9. Have published 5+ articles (provide titles only).
10. Have “original music, magic or theatrical talent that has branded you professionally for a minimum
of two years.
11. Have electronic marketing distributed to a data base of at least 1000 people.
12. Provide program titles of at least two teleseminar or webinar programs you have presented.
Numbers 1-6: Required.  Numbers 7-12: Any 4 Required

Silver Developing-Speaker:

1. Attend 8 NSA/CF events within the last 12 months. Be a professional member for 2+ yrs. and an active
committee member working on one key project.
2. Experience speaking out of state, at a conference of more than 150 people, and have a speaker-specific
website.
3. Give 15 paid speeches per year or earn $25,000 in speaking income, from a minimum of five different
business sources.
4. Attend one NSA National Convention or an NSA Regional Conference.
5. Developed 2 course outlines, with a min. of 5 designated key learning outcomes.
6. Implemented an electronic marketing plan to reach your data base, by distributing your blog, e-tips and/or
newsletter.
7. Secured 8 client testimonials quotes.
8. Have 10 audience evaluation forms from your presentations.
9. Have a speaker PR/media kit.
10. Have a speaker video demo.
11. Have at least one published article or press release.
12. Have written your own book.
Numbers 1-6: Required Numbers 7-12: Any 4 required
Bronze Emerging Speaker:

1. Be an Associate in good standing of NSA/CF for one full year.
2. Attend a minimum of six NSA/CF events within the last 12 months.
3. Give a minimum of 8 paid speeches per year or earn $6,000 in speaking income.
4. Have secured five client testimonial letters.
5. Have created an electronic promotional 1-sheet or brochure.
6. Be an active committee member or hold a leadership position with NSA/CF.
7. Have an audio or video demo of your speaking presentation(s).
8. Have created your own audience evaluation form.
9. Developed and delivered a 45-60 minute presentation outline, documenting a minimum of 5
desired learning outcomes.
10. Created your mission statement.
11. Created a 6-month marketing plan that includes reaching out thru on-line social networking sites.
12. Graduation from the NSA/CF speaker’s academy.
Numbers 1-3: Required  Numbers 4-12: Any 5 Required

These awards are based on the honor system. Please give us titles and/or the basics. You do not need
to document or submit all of your materials for our review.  If you have any questions regarding the

The recipient of our 2009 NSA-Central Florida Meeting Partner of the Year award was presented to Dave Bell, President of the Incredible Speakers Bureau, located in the Orlando, Florida area. 

Dave, who was nominated by Rod Jurado, has more than 10 years’ experience as a Meeting Planner, and is also an Employee Services Specialist in Human Resources as well as Race Operations Specialist at Daytona International Speedway.

 
Dave is a member of multiple chambers, visitors and convention bureaus, and other associations. His professional experience includes: Corporate Meeting Planner, Employee Services Specialist in Human Resources, Mechanical Designer, and Corporate Trainer. He is also a speaker with the Dottie Walters Institute, “Speak and Grow Rich.”
